For our dear family and friends traveling to join us for this special occasion, please note that December is an especially busy time in the Federation. We encourage you to secure your flights and hotel accommodations at the earliest opportunity.
Our story began on April 19, 2023, during a Bible study at the Zion Moravian Church Classroom Building. We were seated around a table with others, each person sharing their testimony, life experiences and what God had been doing in their hearts.
Throughout the evening, Chezon found himself unable to take his eyes off Aliyah. There was something about her that captivated him, as though she carried a quiet light that naturally drew his attention from the moment she began speaking until the discussion came to an end. From Aliyah's perspective, what stood out most was Chezon's kindness. Though naturally shy and reserved, she appreciated the way he intentionally made space for her in the conversation, ensuring that her voice was heard and valued. That evening marked the beginning of a friendship built on genuine conversation, shared faith and a desire to truly know one another.
From there, our friendship continued to grow through countless hangouts, spontaneous food runs and long conversations in parked cars that often lasted far longer than we intended. As our friendship deepened, so did our feelings for one another and, more importantly, our relationship with Christ.
Later that year, we shared a memorable picnic on the Frigate Bay golf course, where Chezon, with the help of Andron and Anelda (thank you both!), prepared soup for us to enjoy together. Then, 622 days later, on that very same golf course, Chezon asked Aliyah if she would do him the distinct pleasure of allowing him to be her boyfriend. Since then, our relationship has been one of growth, grace and unwavering support.
Together we have celebrated milestones, completed our master's degrees, embraced career changes and promotions, and continued to deepen our walk with Christ. Today, we are joyfully engaged and preparing to begin our greatest adventure yet as we enter into the covenant of Holy Matrimony.
